Mushroom is a food item that’s rich in many nutritional contents like Vitamin B, Vitamin C, Protein, Minerals, etc i.e. all in all a healthy food item thus it’s no surprise that this food item is preserved so as to increase its shelf life and allow it to be used for longer period of time. One of the preservation methods used is Canning which is basically storing mushrooms in a can after appropriate sterilization. The canned mushroom finds its application in various restaurants and hotels as mushrooms are used in a large variety of cuisines and these hotels and restaurants essentially have to maintain stock in their kitchen so as to regularly serve the orders irrespective of the local market fluctuations. The canning also removes the parasites which are usually present in mushrooms thus is also used in the household kitchen; therefore it’s a profitable business.
